What is Brick by Brick?
Our Brick by Brick campaign aims to raise the vital funds needed to complete the build of a new two-storey, eight-classroom block at Dedzidi Community School in Ghana. African Adventures and African Adventures Foundation have spent £28,000 on the building so far – but there are four classrooms left to build, and you can help with this. We are asking you to continue the great support that have given us in the past by donating to our campaign. Through Brick by Brick, you can select the number of bricks you would like to contribute via the amount that you donate. You can donate via text, post, or on our website.
For many of the children who attend our partner projects in Ghana, Kenya, and Zanzibar, the chance to go to school is regarded as a luxury. In Ghana, where earning an income is often prioritised over getting an education, many children work to support their family rather than going to school. We hope to encourage more children to attend school by increasing and improving the facilities on offer, thereby making the prospect of going to school more enticing.
With your help, we will raise the money needed to finish construction on the classrooms at Dedzidi – Brick by Brick.
So far, Brick by Brick has raised £405.00!

Dedzidi Community School is a private school located in the Volta Region of Ghana which accommodates students from nursery to junior high school level.
Established in 1990, the school provides an education for approximately 430 students between the ages of two and 14.
African Adventures has been partnered with Dedzidi since 2014. Since this time, our volunteers have worked to improve the facilities within the school. A significant achievement as a result of these efforts is the provision of essential classroom space – meaning class sizes have been reduced from 50 to 40.
The finished expansion of the new building will allow Dedzidi to accept more students from the surrounding community of Anloga, increasing access to education for more children. Currently, four of the eight classrooms have been completed.
How you can help
To make a text donation, text ‘BRICK’, followed by the amount you want to donate, to 70470 – for example: ‘BRICK 5’ to donate £5. You can donate anything between £1 and £20 via this. To donate more, just use the mobile-friendly link below!
Donate what you can
A donation of just £1 can buy a brick, so the saying “every little helps” has never been truer. If large donations by businesses or schools are the bricks, then smaller donations, by individuals like you, are the mortar! Please donate what you can, and spread the word!
Organise your own fundraising events
Simple fundraising ideas could include non-uniform days, bake sales, or sports events. Get in touch with us if you need more ideas – we’ve helped thousands of volunteers fundraise for trips! Any amount your school raises will make a real difference to our Brick by Brick campaign.
Help us achieve our goal
By donating to our Brick by Brick campaign, you’ll be making a real difference to the students who attend Dedzidi, by improving the quality of education they receive. A donation of £3,000, for example, can fund the construction of an entire classroom in the teaching block.
