In the UK, the restrictions placed on our lives to curb the spread of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted. In other countries, however, the effects of the pandemic are still being widely felt, with people’s livelihoods, education and wellbeing all profoundly impacted.
As things here begin to improve, it’s important to remember those who are less fortunate. With volunteers currently unable to travel to Africa, our partner projects have been left without a vital source of financial aid. Without your help, they won’t be able to continue providing free meals to the children who attend them.
As a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, we’re committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals for a better future for all. We’re therefore asking anyone who can donate to help us advance the UN’s goal of Zero Hunger by funding feeding programmes and food parcels for the children we support and their families.
Could you help us provide food security at our partner projects this summer, until our volunteer programme can restart?
